The Adventures of Pito and Maria

The Adventures of Pito and Maria is what I am currently working on. For awhile I have been toying around with doing a comic book series. I thought at first to do Cuban Thunder as a comic but he is a character who is truly meant to be seen on film. I had some doodles of Maria, and she was a character I had drawn a few times while just goofing around. I decided to go with her, but she needed something more. Pito comes from my love of old cartoons and Donald Duck. Currently I am working on the inking of the comic, so I am hoping to have something that you guys can really look at around Feburary or March.

Las Caras de Mujeres

Here is the latest drawing. I finished this a few weeks ago. I wish the photos of it were better, but I will take some better ones some time in the future. The drawing is about five feet by three feet and features sixity different faces. I was inspired by some of the Latina girls I have met through my student teaching. They were girls that I think felt like they did not see themselves anywhere in the world and did not have a very good self image. I wanted to create a piece to address their needs and show images that they could relate to and feel proud of. I wanted to show these Latina women as being all individuals and show their beauty without getting overly sexual or suggestive.

DUCT TAPEICA FIELD HOUSE

Here is the duct tape baseball stadium. It had a great show at Small Space Gallery this past August, the show was put on by Ben and Cody with 62nd demesion. Thanks to all involved with that show it was great. Anyways the upper decks need renovated, which I may not get to for along while, but I will.

Hey its the Odinmachine, I have decided to construct a blog to get my work out and to update anyone who is interested on the new work I am doing.
